Set in the distant
future, but designed like a 1970s vision of the future, featuring over-the-top,
dated futuristic technology. It is clear that something has caused the crew
to leave suddenly. The situation mirrors that found on the Mary Celeste when
boarded.

Character 02 – Daisy Isidore

She is a young,
wide-eyed and ambitious astronaut scientist with dreams of travelling the
stars, all up until it goes horribly wrong. Daisy is tall, strong, with short
dark-hair and wears glasses. She is highly professional and resourceful at
all times.

I have chose this specific character as I found it quite interesting and unique into the ways the I could actually develop this character and create a game based around it. I liked the setting that was chose around this character which was a location in space, which could give extra potential for a story in this game. This relates to a range of different games, where stories are completely different but set in very similar locations. For example, games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, in the game mode of "zombies", there is a map which is called moon. In this map, you can see certain mechanics which are based around space and some sort of reality of what being in space would actually be like. I could imagine the surface of a planet to be quite similar to the map as well, as it is very plain and lumpy. I also like how there are indoor buildings located on the moon which switches the game play up a bit but you need a spacesuit to go outside or you will suffocate, which is another mechanic I like as it is realistic. Obviously, there are other places where this game could be located such as a spaceship, a space station, a mysterious planets, etc.
Star Wars
Stars Wars is something that instantly comes into my mind when I think about a character like Daisy. It is filled with futuristic aspects such as robots, laser weapons, huge structures such as spaceships, space-stations and much more. I would imagine the environment around her to look very similar to how Star Wars was portrayed but with a few tweaks to give this game with Daisy some new vibes and aspects such as laboratories and experimental rooms.

The robots are huge and in the shape of something that can walk like an animal such as a dog. This gives us the idea that they are made to move on land which also means that they could either be a way of transportation or an enemy. By looking around the "head" area, you can see how they have weapons like guns attached to them, which is also very unique and futuristic.

This is something that we don't have in modern day now but it could be a possibility in the future which also links to the characters setting and it gives me various ideas of what her weapons could look like or turn out to be.

As you can see, it seems quite similar to a gun in this generation but with particular distorted features to make it look futuristic and space like. I think that this could be another possibility for my main character to have as a weapon because it suits the theme and it's not too complicated.

They stick to the metal type of robotic theme using things such as satellites and straight lines to make it look more complex and interesting. I personally think that the overall image of this looks very unique and cool as it shows how huge and technical it is.
Futuristic weapons - Call of Duty zombies
In Call of Duty zombies, there are multiple weapons that look very strange and unrealistic. These are referred to as "Wonder Weapons" which are fictional and powerful weapons, which makes me think of the future and space related themes because of how they look with all the strange and peculiar shapes used and the sounds they actually make when used. There are a huge range of them and they are all very creative and imaginative which can help me get some inspiration and ideas for a weapon that I want to create for Daisy.

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/550424385678654846/As you can see, these examples of futuristic type labs are great ideas and examples that I could elaborate on and develop further to eventually end up with a completed environment which I could implement into my game. You can see how a lot of the images show robotic features, which is something that is thought to be something that will be consistently used in the future. The environments look overall very clean and sleek which I think could be something that would fit into my game perfectly as it fits the theme very nicely.

This is spacecraft used in "Blake's 7" which has a unique type of appearance as it instantly reminds me of space due to the weird shape and figure that it has. I like this idea as it gives me some inspiration and idea of what I could do to a spaceship that I want to create for my game due to the abstract shapes that it has as it also reminds me of a satellite.

I think this design is way to complex for the design that I want to create but I could take some inspiration from something like the metal bars or huge engines.

This gun looks very unique and quite fictional but it looks pretty cool and simple, which could be an aspect I could use within my weapon for the game. I love the way the gun looks and the overall design of it, as it gives of both vibes of modern and futuristic which is something that looks quite inspirational and it would work great as an idea.
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
This image looks absract in many different ways. It does consist of having that sci-fi and space type of theme with the straight line lights in the background, the outfits the characters are wearing and also the weapon the main character is wielding.
This is another spaceship/ station that has another unique and different appearance which I could easily obtain great ideas and implement them into my spaceship for my game. I like how it looks similar to something you would see in thunder-birds but it still keeps the sci-fi/ space theme that I need for my game and development.
Scientist/ Professor
As soon as I think about a scientist, I always think about professors from Pokemon, such as Professor Juniper and Professor Sycamore. This is because of their overall appearance as they remind me of what a scientist would wear, long lab coats with big pockets filled with scientific equipment and then just some casual clothing. This helps me a lot as it gives me quite a lot of inspiration about how my character could look within my game.
